E-mail Forwarding
Find out about e-mail forwarding, how it works and in which scenarios it is beneficial to have it enabled.
When you've got an e-mail and you enable forwarding for it, all of the incoming emails will be sent to a third-party mailbox that you pick. The email sender will not be aware of this and he will send the e-mail just to the first address. This feature is useful for people with numerous sites, each with a separate e-mail for contact, for example. By forwarding all e-mails to one e-mail address, it will be simpler for you to keep a record and never miss an e-mail as you have forgotten to check on a given e-mail. In case you run a company, you’ll be able to employ this function to keep track of the emails received by different departments. A further benefit is that you're able to use an official e-mail address for a number of needs, let’s say admin@your-domain.com, and you can now get all of the messages sent to it in your personal mailbox. It's also possible to forward email messages from a single email to numerous ones, if a number of people should be involved with the email communication.

E-mail Forwarding in Shared Hosting
If you have a shared hosting package with us and you create email addresses in your account, you will be able to forward it with only a few clicks to any other address of your choosing. The feature can be enabled when you set up a new mailbox or any time afterwards and disabled just as quickly in case you change your mind. This is done from the Hepsia Hosting Control Panel in which you can handle your account. In addition, you will have the option to choose if a copy of the incoming messages will remain on our servers or not. The main advantage of this feature is basically that you will always have a backup on your server if something occurs with the other email address or if it isn't active for reasons unknown at the time an email message is forwarded. In case the option is not enabled, an email will be received, forwarded and removed from our system no matter if the remote email address is functioning or not, so it might be a good idea to have it enabled just to be on the safe side.
- E-mail Forwarding in Semi-dedicated Servers
If you have a semi-dedicated server through us, it will take you just a few mouse clicks in the Email Manager area of your Hepsia Hosting Control Panel to forward the e-mails set up on our server to a third-party address. In the same section you will also be able to see how many of your email addresses are forwarded and exactly where the incoming e-mails are sent. It is easy to activate or disable a forwarding account at any moment and throughout the process you may also decide if a backup copy of the email messages needs to be kept in our system or not. Although this feature isn't a requirement, it's very practical because you will have a backup of the messages on our end just in case that something occurs with the third-party mailbox. Even if they've got a short-term issue, you run the risk of losing email messages as the moment our server gets and forwards an e-mail, absolutely nothing will be kept on our end unless you selected a copy to be stored. - E-mail Forwarding in Semi-dedicated Servers
